Convention 2008: Monumental Connections
Our Biennial Convention will be held in Arlington, VA at the Marriott Crystal Gateway Hotel from July 9, 2008, through July 13, 2008, with most events beginning on July 10, 2008. Please note that this is a slight change from the originally published Convention dates. We are very excited about this "monumental" event and hope to garner much alumnae participation. There will be a much stronger focus on alumnae programming, and we are assisting groups of interested alumnae members with organizing a reunion weekend full of fun and reconnecting. Please look for registration materials shortly, and begin to plan your trip now! For more information please contact Tiffany Neal at tneal@dphie.org.Labels: convention

National Volunteer Week
April 15-21, 2007 This week--in both the United States and Canada--is National Volunteer Week, an opportunity to celebrate the hard work and generosity of those who volunteer their time and energy for the greater good. During this week, Delta Phi Epsilon recognizes all volunteers around the world. We would like to also extend a special thank you to Delta Phi Epsilon international volunteers and Chapter Advisors. It is because of these individuals and the dedication and support they provide the sorority, that Delta Phi Epsilon continues to excel.Labels: National Volunteer Week

Press Release: Delta Phi Epsilon Announces Colonization at University of New Haven
Colonization Slated for January 2007
St. Louis, MO January 9, 2007 Delta Phi Epsilon is pleased to announce that the sorority has been invited to colonize at University of New Haven. Denise Curran, Director of Expansion, and Kathy Deppe, Alumnae & Chapter Development Director, visited the university in early December to meet with women of the interest group, the Greek Advisor, and local DPhiE alumnae.
Founded in 1920, UNH is a private, comprehensive university located ten minutes from downtown New Haven, Connecticut. The present enrollment is 2,300 undergraduates, of which 49% are female. Approximately 85% of the full-time undergraduate students live on campus. Enrollment of full-time undergraduate students has steadily increased over the past five years and continues to grow. The University states that it is in a transition phase, moving from being a traditionally commuter campus to a residential campus, and is in the process of building both a new student recreation center and a new academic building.
There are currently no NPC groups at the University of New Haven; however, there is one chartered NPHC chapter, one interested NPHC group, one NIC chapter, and five local sororities and fraternities on campus. Colonization will begin in January 2007 and more information regarding the process is forthcoming. For more information on the University of New Haven, please visit the university's website at www.newhaven.edu.
