On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff and volunteers from the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Foundation we would like to thank [Delta Phi Epsilon] for participating in our 2009 GREAT STRIDES Walks that took place throughout the month of May. Over 4,000 friends, families and corporate partners came together this year to support the mission of the CF Foundation.

Here is our progress to date:

Number of Registered Walkers: 2,580
GOAL: $1.05 million
Year-End Projection for 2009: $903,436

Although we did an incredible job despite a challenging economy, we still have 6 more months until the end of the year and will continue to accept donations up until December 31, 2009. Just remember, IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO FUND-RAISE! Log in to your GREAT STRIDES account to take advantage of our online fund-raising tools including our electronic letter-writing campaign and GREAT STRIDES widget that you can download to your website, Facebook page, or other social networking site. Use these tools to reach out to people that you haven't heard from yet and let them know how close we are to breakthroughs in treatment and drug therapy. Let your friends and family know about your team's success story, and how they can be a part of it all by contributing towards your team!

We really appreciate all of your efforts towards finding a cure for cystic fibrosis. Over the past several months clinical trials were announced for two groundbreaking drugs, funded by the CF Foundation, that correct the basic defect in the CF gene. Our president and CEO Dr. Robert Beall refers to these therapies as "the most important shot on goal in the history of the CF Foundation." None of this progress would be possible without your outstanding dedication and commitment.
